Commissioned by Aldeburgh Music for the Aldeburgh Festival 2015. Premiered by the Arcadia Quartet at the Jubilee Hall in June 19th 2015 (Aldeburgh, UK).

Arbrée (2014)

lyrical scene for 2 voices and large ensemble

Based in the text “Dialogue de l’arbre” written by Paul Valéry (© Éditions Gallimard 1945).
Premiered by the Ensemble Intercontemporain and Exaudi singers (Juliet Fraser & Jimmy Holliday) under the conduction of Julien Leroy in Le Centquatre (Paris) within the framework of the “Manifeste Academy” organized by IRCAM in June-July 2014 in Paris, France.

Commissioned by Ryōko Aoki / Ensemble-Nō.
Haiku poems by Bashō, Gozan, Ichishi, Kasenjo, Kyokusai, Okyo, Kanga, Teikitsu, Kyutaro, Hokusai and Tomoemon sung in original Japanese form.
Premiere by Ryōko Aoki (nō) and Masamichi Yokoshima (violin) at Shibaura House in Tokyo in August 2018.

Premiere by Ascolta under the conduction of Chung-Yuan Yu for the festival “Mehrlicht!Musik” organized by Klangzeitort (coordination office from Universität der Künste Berlin and Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin) in Berlin in December 10th 2016.
